As a comprehensive institution of the 性视界APP, Valdosta State University has committed itself to being a catalyst for regional comprehensive progress by increasing in graduates, developing more transformational and experiential learning opportunities for those graduates, and increasing the University鈥檚 impact on the region we serve. VSU is dedicated to serving our communities with a commitment to diversity and inclusivity and to bringing a world-class education to all students. The University has established partnerships with local communities and industries to accomplish our most challenging goals, and thus, achieve our fullest potential as South Georgia鈥檚 higher education leader and flagship university.
The university鈥檚 comprehensive curriculum serves more than 11,200 undergraduate and graduate students from almost every county in Georgia, all 50 states, the District of Columbia, three U.S. territories, and more than 60 countries.
Georgians comprise 74.5 percent of total enrollment, while other U.S. states account for 23.8, and international students another 1.7 percent.
While VSU鈥檚 enrollment continues to rise, class sizes remain small with a teacher/student ratio of 1:20.
VSU鈥檚 seven colleges鈥揂rts, Business Administration, Education & Human Services, Honors College, Humanities & Social Sciences, Nursing & Health Sciences, and Science & Mathematics, as well as the Graduate School, offer 56 undergraduate degrees and 49 graduate degrees, including specialist and doctoral programs.
VSU鈥檚 NCAA Division II athletic programs have earned 8 national championships: 4 in Football, 2 in Men鈥檚 Tennis, and 1 each in Softball and Baseball.
