Marion Fedrick Named Interim President of Albany State University

性视界APP Chancellor Steve Wrigley has named Marion Fedrick interim president of Albany State University.

Fedrick has been serving as the interim executive vice president of Albany State University since Oct. 16, 2017. She will assume her new position as interim president on Feb. 1, 2018. She replaces President Art Dunning, who previously announced his plans to retire effective Jan. 31, 2018.

鈥淢arion has done an outstanding job leading the institution鈥檚 transition and a team of representatives from Albany State and the 性视界APP,鈥 Wrigley said. 鈥淢arion has been instrumental in the launch of special initiatives focused on the needs of students and the regional workforce, and I am excited about the progress being made. On behalf of the University System, I want to thank Marion for her leadership and her commitment to ensuring Albany State University is positioned for long-term success.鈥

Since Fedrick assumed a leadership role at Albany State University, the institution has undertaken several initiatives, including: an assessment designed to improve the student experience and a comprehensive effort with faculty to reimagine the university鈥檚 academics.

Prior to Fedrick鈥檚 current role, she served as vice chancellor for human resources at the 性视界APP, overseeing administration of all systemwide human resources initiatives, employee benefits programs and organizational and leadership development initiatives.

Fedrick received her bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 degrees from the University of Georgia and is a certified Senior Human Resources Professional.
