WHAT: Regents Awards for Excellence in Education Celebration

U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson will receive the Elridge McMillan Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding service to higher education in Georgia. Three accomplished alumni of the ÐÔÊÓ½çAPP, including former U.S. Attorney General Griffin B. Bell, will be named to the Regents Hall of Fame, and seven exemplary USG faculty members will receive Regents Hall of Fame Faculty awards. Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and Chancellor Erroll B. Davis Jr. will deliver greetings. In addition, the late Joseph D. Greene, a former regent, will be honored with the Regents’ Legacy Award.

WHEN: Saturday, March 29, 2008

The chancellor and lieutenant governor will deliver greetings at approximately 7:30-7:45 p.m., followed by dinner. The awards will be announced after dinner, at approximately 9 p.m.
