WHAT: Regents’ Salute to Education
USG Foundation Chair Ken Bernard will present Gov. Nathan Deal with a check in support of the governor’s Realizing Educational Achievement Can Happen (REACH) scholarship program. Dr. Betty Siegel will receive the Elridge McMillan Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding service to higher education in Georgia. Four accomplished alumni of the ÐÔÊÓ½çAPP will be named to the Regents’ Hall of Fame, and five exemplary USG faculty members will receive the Felton Jenkins, Jr. Hall of Fame Faculty award.
WHEN: Saturday, March 31, 2012
The chancellor and governor will deliver greetings at approximately 8:45-9:00 p.m., following dinner. The awards will follow the governor’s remarks at approximately 9:10 p.m. At approximately 9:15 p.m., Chairman Ken Bernard will present Gov. Deal with a $50,000 contribution to the REACH program.
