At Simon we’re aware and believe that we have a responsibility to our environment. We care about the environment, which is why we have our “Love for Wood” project. We manufacture products using 100% natural beech wood.
It’s a living, breathing element, since it can change slightly in response to sudden changes in humidity or temperature.
Wood has always been a feature in our homes, it brings new sensations, it’s warm and gives the space a different texture. People who love wood will agree that it’s an authentic and special material.
Benefits of wood: wood is an element that we don’t usually come across in products like ours. That’s why it’s such a differentiating feature. For people who want to create a Scandinavian ambience, wood makes a fantastic ally. For people with character, who prefer authenticity and simplicity. This project respects the environment in three ways:
ECOLOGICAL: A natural product. No industrial process is required in successive stages of plantation, cultivation, maintenance and felling.
RECYCLABLE: Its derivatives do not require technology or sophisticated industrial processes to be converted into other materials.
BIODEGRADABLE: Products made from this material do not cause soil, water or air pollution.

¾ٳ&Բ;“Love for Wood” we pay tribute to traditional values. Simon’s team researched and developed the Detail 82 series in Olot, a privileged location with a volcanic landscape and beech forests. Perhaps because of the historical influence of these surroundings, the company wanted to adapt this interesting material for the home environment and so took on the challenge of manufacturing mechanisms with a base made from certified, 100% natural beech Wood.

JORDI QUINTANA
Jordi Quintana works the wood by hand. His work method ensures that each of his creations have something unique, that is not replicated in other pieces. He has always been attracted to simplicity and natural beauty, so his IMO project was launched before ecological products even became fashionable.
AXALKO
Axalko is a small cooperative that shows that although wood is a traditional material, its properties offer endless possibilities. The wood frame of his bicycle was used in the high competition road race, the Paris-Robeaux.
WOODYS
Woodys is a young, stylish brand dedicated to the production and distribution of glasses with wood frames with an exceptional design. In short, the brand wants to convey a fresh, fun, carefree style, thus positioning itself at the forefront of modern trends.
