Simon Cup Madrid
The Simon Cup project was developed as a means to encourage encounter and interaction between the brand, its future installers (students of electricity, electronics and automation training modules) and leading VET colleges, through a series of sporting and leisure activities in the city of Madrid.
The event was a great success. It was held on 26 June at the Ciudad Deportiva sporting facilities of Atlético de Madrid and attended by Spanish football legend Julio Salinas. Highlights included a 7-a-side football tournament between the students of the different colleges that took part and an interactive exhibition of the brand's products. Other activities included PlayStation gaming, table football, a BBQ and a live DJ. A discussion was also organised over breakfast, attended by Simon and VET managerial staff to explore together and discuss the current challenges for training future installers and to come up with methods for collaboration.
