Thermal-magnetic and RCDs circuit breakers
Simon presents you with one of the most in-demand options today to offer the necessary security when facilities exceed risk limits. We have models of unipolar and bipolar magnetothermic and differentials, in different formats and number of elements.
The vast majority of them come with a trim plate to hide the interior mechanisms and give the product greater aesthetics when integrating it with the rest of the elements in the available space.
The thermal magneto is a very useful device that offers great security to users of certain installations, since it is capable of instantly interrupting the electric current that passes through it in the event that pre-established maximum values are exceeded.
For its operation, several elements are required: a coil, an electromagnet and a sheet that is, in turn, made up of two metals with different expansion coefficients.
When the magneto-thermal switch is activated, two effects occur. The two effects that occur are thermal and magnetic, as its name indicates. The magnetic effect, in the event of short circuits, causes the contact to open to prevent the passage of current instantly by attracting the coil to the core. For its part, the thermal effect is what occurs when heating causes the sheet of two metals to curve, opening contact.
It is one of the most in-demand elements for connectivity functions today, since it guarantees the protection of circuits and, therefore, the safety of people both in their homes and in workplaces.
When we talk about types of magnetothermics, we refer to:
In this case, only the phase wire is connected.
